Woodfuel is a natural, sustainable and carbon efficient source of energy. For both economic and environmental reasons we need to use the plentiful supply of wood available on the Isle of Wight, minimizing transport and creating local jobs.
Burning good quality, well seasoned logs from a local source is cheaper than oil and electricity, currently at about 4p per kw, renewable and sustainable, low carbon and can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90% compared to fossil fuels.
